Features of Inconel 601 Tubing:
- Excellentresistance to sodium hydroxide solutions
- Dueto high nickel concentration good resistance to chloride stress corrosioncracking.
- Austeniticstainless steels Inconel 601 can be sensitized to intergranular corrosionin some aggressive media subsequent to heating up to 540ºC - 760ºC.
Applications of Inconel 601 Tubing:
1. Baskets, trays, fixtures, radiant tubes, muffles, retorts, flame shields, and electrical resistance heating wires.
2. Thermocouple safety tubes, process heaters, condenser tubes, catalyst supports in nitric acid manufacture, exhaust systems in gasoline engines
3. Combustion chambers, superheater tube supports and ash handling in power generation.
