INCOLOY DS SHEET PLATE STRIP
Incoloy DS Sheet Plate Strip is a nickel-iron-
chromium alloy with an addition of silicon. Incoloy DSSheet Plate Strip has good high-temperature strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization.
The silicon content makes
Incoloy DS Sheet Plate Strip resistant to internal oxidation in high-temperature atmospheres that vary between oxidizing and reducing. Used in industrial furnaces and for heat-treating baskets, trays and fixtures.

Machinability:
Conventional machining techniques used for iron based alloys may be used. Incoloy DS Wire does work-harden during machining and has higher strength and "gumminess" not typical of steels. Heavy duty machining equipment and tooling should be used to minimize chatter or work-hardening of Incoloy DS Wire ahead of the cutting. Most any commercial coolant may be used in the machining operations.
Applications:
This is a general purpose alloy for heat resistance in applications such as industrial heat-treating furnaces, or furnace applications that involve atmospheres that may attack lesser alloys.
