Tensile strength of inconel 601 Wire

The inconel 601 wire consists of high mechanical potential. The potential level obtained by the alloy different with the variation in the alloy form and its condition. The particular condition of alloy is based on the operation and temperature of condition. Basically, the solution processed is employed for the crack limited operations at temperature of 1000oF or 540oC and more. The annealed alloy is employed in the tensile strength based operations. The tensile features of inconel 601 at the room temperature are extreme and the alloy retains its features even in the high temperature limits.

If the inconel 601 wire is exposed in the elevated temperatures still it is not embrittled. In the below table the impact potential of alloy is demonstrated when the wire is exposed to 1000oF to 1600oF or 540oC to 870oC and the wire shows even higher impact strength after the exposure for 1000 hours.

The above table shows the consequences of charpy V notch impact analysis on the warm finished rod. Also the annealed inconel 601 wire offers enhanced fatigue potential as compare to solution processed alloy. The wire of diameter 13 mm is annealed at temperature of 1800oF or 980oC for one hour. The material obtains toughness of 89 Rb and grain size of ASTM 8.
