Applications of Inconel 601 Wire

The Inconel 601 wire is basically comprised of nickel, chromium and iron employed in the engineering operations. The wire offers enormous resistance to heat, oxidation and corrosion at the elevated temperatures. The alloy wire offers superior resistance to aqueous corrosion and possesses significant mechanical potential. Moreover the wire can be conveniently formed and weldable.

The resistance to oxidation is vitally improved by the addition of aluminum. The composition properties of inconel alloy wire enable it for widely using in the heat processing, chemical treatment, controlling the pollution level, aircraft and ower production fields.

The alloy 601 is the significant raw material for making diverse kinds of thermal processing devices. The heating equipments used on the commercial scale like trays, baskets and fixtures for different processes like annealing, carburization carbonitridation and nitriding and more heating applications.

The data in the above table is derived from the measurement of electrical resistivity and the specific heat capacity is derived from the constituents of alloy.

The inconel 601 wire is used in the radiant tubes, muffles, retorts, strand annealing tubes, flame sheath, woven wire conveyor belt, chain curtains, burner nozzles, and making heat resistant equipments. There are different heating operations that widely use the inconel alloy wire or thermocouple security tube, furnace atmosphere generators and infrared radiant screens.

In the chemical treatment operations, inconel 601 alloy wire is used in the heaters, condenser tubes in the sour water liners and insulted containers in the filters of ammonia. The alloy wire is also utilized in the combustor components and catalyst grid assistance in the devices for preparing the nitric acid. In the chemical processing of petrol, inconel 601 wire treats as catalyst regenerator and air pre – heating agent in producing the high density polyethylene.

In the pollution discarding operations, the alloy 601 wire is utilized in the thermal reactors in exhaust equipments of gasoline engines as well as heating chambers in the solid waste burners. In the power production fields the alloy 601 is used in the superheater tube helpers, grid restrictors and maintenance equipments.
