Physical properties of Inconel X-750 wire

The inconel X-750 wire shows effect of temperature on the resistivity as in the below table:

The inconel X-750 alloy can be provided with the different heating methods. The method creates the special features and describes the product form in the suitable condition for the specialized purposes. In the whole conditions, the wire offers superior resistance to oxidation about 1800oF temperature limits. The primarily used heating methods are used by the AMS for the different product forms. The heat processing, specification and forms of products are described in the below table:

The moderate temperature service lower than 1100oF and equivalent precipitation, processed material for different operations that need high force and ductility at the temperature ranges of 1100oF. The inconel resistance wire, rod and bar are provided with the special heat processing such as: 1625oF for 24 hr, A.C. – Equalizing1300oF for 20 hr, A.C. – precipitation Heat process. The heat processing followed by the AMS 5667 needs the material to be heated with the least room temperature features. The hardness lies in the limits of 302 to 363 BHN.

The consequences of double analysis series performed at higher temperature limits on the tensile properties are described in the below table:

The fatigue strength of the equivalent precipitated processed material is more than the triple heat processed material. The moderate temperature service at temperature lower than 1100oF to the solution processed and furnace cooled precipitation processed material service temperature limits lower than 1100oF for inconel X-750 resistance wire are provided with the following heat processing conditions: 1800oF – Solution Heat Treatment and 1350oF/8 hr, F.C. to 1150oF, hold at 1150oF for total time of 18 hr, A.C. – Furnace-Cool.
