Nikrothal TE is an excellent combination of austenitic nickel and chromium metals the resulted alloy has replaced the nikrothal 80 in the tubular element operations. Nikrothal TE consists of Nickel by 66% though nikrothal 80 consists of 78% of nickel. This alloy offers cost effective and several technical advantages.

Due to extremely high resistivity of Nikrothal TE it is called as Nikrothal TE resistance wire and its constituents are needed to be reconstructed. The reconstruction options are mentioned below:

Keeping the wire configuration equal by using about 10% little length of wire. Increase the surface load on the wire offering large temperatures. Second method is by keeping the wire length same that is done by using large wire diameter of 5% more than original and keeping the low surface load on the wire as compare to nikrothal 80 that is low temperature operations that provides enhanced wire life.

The nikrothal TE wire is n economical alloy form as compare to nikrothal 80 that is offered by cut off in its weight by lowering its density about one to two percent. This wire saves 10% additional cost over nikrothal 80 on the base of applications in which it is used.

This wire can be used in the high temperatures of about 1200°C or (2190°F). It is designed to sheath the tubular elemental metals. By decreasing the content of nickel in alloy formation and reduced temperature value of resistivity, and suitable electrical features, Nikrothal TE wire has become the popular replacement of alloys containing large concentration of nickel like nikrothal 80 alloy. In the several tubular element uses, it is viable to obtain the specified life period of wire by operating a little change in the element design.

The nikrothal wire is a resistance wire and resistance heating wire with specialized chemical composition. The benefit of choosing nikrothal alloys is that these alloys have higher hot and creep potential as compare to kanthal alloy. Also nikrothal materials retain their ductile nature even after long term use. When these alloys are superiorly oxidized, they offer better emissivity as compare to kanthal alloys that's why the surface load of these materials is lower than the kanthal materials.

Since in particular applications or environments the non - magnetic materials are highly preferred, at such times the nickrothal TE wire and other alloy materials are highly recommend due to their non magnetic nature. The kanthal alloys show non - magnetic nature at the temperature more than 600 degree C or 1100 degree F. Also Nikrothal alloys have high resistance to corrosion in the normal environments as compare to non oxidized kanthal materials however if the environments are free from sulphur and certain restricted conditions.
