The Bends test is a common test to determine the ductility of titanium welding wire. Therefore the bed test is performed on the preproduction test welds or on the elongation of production welds that are prepared for purpose. It offers precise evaluation of weld eminence. The hardness dimensions on the weld against the base metal are utilized as sign of welding excellence. Generally the toughness of pure weld doesn't exceed 30 credits more in the Knoop Vickers or Brrinell toughness scales as compare to the toughness of base metal of similar composition.
